Brugge Belgium

I visited Belgium and the Netherlands in March. My trip ended the day the "travel ban" went into effect. Had an amazing time all the same. Wish I was "still in fucking Bruges!"

Brugge first. Had some rain for a bit on one day, but otherwise, beautiful weather. Besides, with these old medieval towns, sometimes the rain feels appropriate.
I may post some Amsterdam later.

I approved the thread so everyone could see it, but wouldn't you want this to be in the "My city photos" section?

I actually thought that's where I was posting it. I must have clicked the wrong thread. Is there anyway to move it?

(Thanks for moving it!)

Great photos, thank you for posting! My wife and I visited Brugge three years ago and had an incredible time in this scenic city.

We went to a great beer pub, Le Trappiste Brugge, when we visited, which is located in a centuries-old basement.

I don't remember why I blindly bought In Bruges on DVD 10 years ago. I think maybe because it was $5 or something. Seeing these photos does suddenly make me want to watch it again. Maybe the lack of basketball and baseball on TV thanks to COVID-19 has something to do with it too. But still, I appreciate seeing the city in a more positive light. Thank you.

It was the movie that put Bruges on my radar. The main portion of my trip was to Amsterdam, but I made time to take a train and spend a few days in Bruges. It's really an incredible place. I definitely relate more to Ken than Ray in the film.
And I feel you on the lack of basketball. The NBA season was suspended while I was over there. Sucks.

Excellent pictures! I've seen things on Bruges, mainly from Rick Steves. Your pictures show it as a storybook little town!
