The federal government is in charge of this project. I agree that the federal government is "unique", but this project is not an opportunity to make snarky comments about San Antonio. By the way, local government is spending $38 million to restore and renovate City Hall. That's a good opportunity to tout SA's uniqueness, if you'd like.

I don’t see it. I’ll be downtown this weekend and see. I’m surprised people on this forum are not mad at the lack of retail or a window on the street facing side.

I mean, it's an art gallery. It's supposed to be ... artsy? lol

Here's a shot of the apartment building going up in Hemisfair, what's it called now, the '68?

And here's a shot of the construction site for the apartment building at the corner of Broadway and Austin Highway.

Oh! Sorry! I read too fast! It just seems that the latest WHINE is retail. A year ago the WHINE was the "height" of a proposed development!

It's like are these people ever happy about anything??

Well, I for one am happy to see all this NEW development in this "UNIQUE, HISTORICAL, AND BEAUTIFUL city of SAN ANTONIO!!!

Crane has gone up at the site of that apartment building being built at Broadway and Austin Highway in Alamo Heights. Forgot to snag a photo, but it's a pretty big hole in the ground. I guess all their parking is going to be subterranean. I'll try and remember to get a pic next time.

You can see SEVEN cranes on the Frost Tower northeast web cam.

(Depending on the angle of two of the cranes at any one time. Sometimes you can only see five cranes.)

I was recently wondering how many we have downtown. Thanks for this!

On another note, what happened to the hotel on Soledad? I thought it topped out and now it has this cover on it as if it is getting a remodel.
