I understand Balemans in the City Market is closing at the end of the month - owners retiring. Terrible news as that will leave a big hole in the market - hopefully they have a new tenant lined up. Maybe Pete's will expand?

Construction status update: Looks like this unit at McAllister Place will be The Brick. (The unit next to it will be Mark's Work Warehouse).

Signage is now on the Brunswick Square Booster Juice location confirming that the closure is "temporary". Scant on other details.

Also noticed there's a new business on the ground floor of Brunswick Square called Pistachio Cafe, in the space next to the hotel lobby entrance.

More bad news for Brunswick Square - Lolë now has a very prominent "STORE CLOSING" sign.

Taco Bowl is relocating to KV.

Quote:
Announcement: Taco Bowl is relocating from McAllister Place to Old Hampton Rd. Right beside the Dollar Store and Match Box Pizza in KV! Be sure to check us out in our new location! Opening January 2020. We are almost ready to open, check out some sneak peeks of our KV location!!

This means that their current spot will be empty at McAllister Place.
But at least this will give a new opportunity for a new restaurant to come into the food court. Maybe Mezza Lebanese Kitchen?

Who wants to eat fast-food tacos anyway? Didn't anyone here know they give you explosively painful diarrhea, the drizzling s**ts, and make you puke all over the dashboard of your car for days? XD

Freshly Squeezed is closing their kiosk at McAllister Place on Jan.31st. There is no mention of a relocation. So it looks like a permanent closing.

This brand has several locations across Canada, with Saint John and Halifax being their only Atlantic Canada locations.

Hopefully something will replace this and the recently closed Taco Bowl spot in the food court.

Here we grow again!!!

It's hard to believe ...but in less than 16 weeks we have outgrown our little shop and have decided to move to a new bigger .....and hopefully better location. We are closed down for now as we move to the new location !!!

THE 2nd level of Brunswick square main pedway area between Coles Bookstore and WH Smith Jewelers. FORMER Lady Colwells!!! SO EXCITED

We hope to see all of our past, present and future customers and friends at the new location as soon as Feb 1st. We will remain closed until then to make this incredible next big step. Wish us luck.

IMO- they should of looked for a larger street front location. At the moment Brunswick Square simply is not a place where businesses are growing. I wish them all the best though.

Things Engraved has apparently gone bankrupt and is closing stores effective immediately.

So McAllister Place now has a new unit to get filled in. Perhaps Ardene next door can expand. This will make their entire unit 2,985sq.ft (compared to their current size of 2,310sq.ft).

UPDATE (Jan.10th 2020): Here is an news article about this https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/thin...RmjpN26XlerKNQ
