MIAMI | Marquis | 679 FT / 207 M | 64 FLOORS

Marquis is currently under construction, just less than half way to being topped off. It's the tallest of the four "Biscayne Wall" buildings in Miami (Marinablue, 900 Biscayne Bay, 10 Museum Park, Marquis), and will be 679 feet tall with 64 floors when completed. Completion is expected in about a year (summer 2008).

Construction Photos - May 2007....note that it has gotten taller since then!

Below, Marquis is on the right.

I'll try to get more pictures soon (this Sunday) and continue to post updates on this tower for a while until it's topped off.

Here are some pictures of Marquis, from July 1, 2007:

Marquis to the right of Ten Museum Park, now up past the halfway point of 10MP, on its way to being 1.5 times taller than 10MP

Marquis is my fave of the four buildings that form the wall.
It is glassy and I guess once they take the protecting panels from the windows it's going to look amazing under the Miami sun.
Marina Blue would be my second favorite, then 900 and finally 10 museum park tower.

Marquis update

Marquis is now Miami's 4th. tallest building at 700ft./ 67 stories instead of the original 679ft./ 64 stories that was proposed.

My intention is not be a smart ass...

I was told by a real estate agent in the Miami area that a good number of residential highrises remain mostly empty. Do any of the Miami forumers see these completed highrises as "dark" during the night?

skakman about 70% of the 17,000+ condos built during this boom in the downtown area have closed since last month. I posted an article on this in City discussions if you would like to read it :
