Strike possible at Manitoba Hydro

The three unions representing some 4,600 employees at Manitoba Hydro are in agreement -- a strike could hit the Utility by the end of the month. The majority of the employees, 3,000, are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers..
IBEW spokesperson Lauris Kleven said negotiations have reached an impasse, primarily over salaries. Kleven says Hydro's current wage offer isn't fair when compared to other Crown corporations.
Hydro spokesperson Glenn Schneider says Negotiations are continuing and Hydro is not prepared to discuss details..
