I've always hears that it is to be a two-storey penthouse.

Yes penthouse is the proper term. Mechanical Penthouse is a more CORRECT term.

It looks like they will finish the roof off quite nicely. Why didn't they finish the roof on the Mosaic tower in the same way? The mechanical room (or whatever it's called) was left open and they never built around it to give it a more complete look. I think it looks horrible.

I agree, it does appear incomplete. Huh.

Too be honest, I don't mind the top of tower III. Yes maybe incomplete, but not ugly.

Any pic update for Ag place? Are they finished with the street front retail sections?

The retail is far from finished. No glass at all yet. They have nearly completed glazing on floor 9. Structural steel is still being assembled for the 2 penthouse levels.

I was thinking it would be cool to do a rooftop restaurant in the retail section between Tower III and Agriculture Place (like how the Rooftop did their setup on Vic and Broad). I also still wish they would have done 2 floor retail inbetween instead of 1.

I agree. It would look better with another floor and it could be divided into even more retail space.

Hadn't thought of that before. Would have definitely given it a bigger city feel.

I was also imagining with that idea how great for maybe Brown's, Earl's, Moxies or some other national or international restaurant chain to open there as to help draw more people to that area on Hamilton. Plus, how amazing of a nighttime big city feel to have The Hill Towers and the rest of Hamilton's glass skyscrapers looking down at you while you have your dinner and drinks. It definitely would be magical.

I've always thought the top floor of tower 3 and the "lounge/patio" at the top would be a perfect place for a restaurant/lounge".

They used the opportunity of the cranes being around to bring some new HVAC Equipment in for the old tower.

I just noticed in the renders that the penthouse has a flat roof rather than a pitched roof like it's "twin". This means that it is at full height now. It is one floor shorter than FCC 1 plus FCC's pitched roof.
