True, at least now it shows the new height in the diagram.

Then shouldn't there be an identical drawing for the smaller twin? Just shrink the other one down by 60 meters. But yeah that is basically what I was talking about... even this drawing looks nothing like the render/description of the towers. The tapered corners, the bowl fixture in the crown, etc...

Bowl fixture in the crown? Have you been privy to renderings the public hasn't?

From what we saw in the DP there was really no "bowl" fixture in the crown.

I think it was Wooster who mentioned the "bowl in the crown" feature.

Indeed it was, I believe he was privy to see the model of the building. Perhaps it is more apparent there than in the DP we viewed.

That feature probably not clear in the DP drawings - wouldn't show up in elevations. I did see some models, including a detailed one of the crown.

Wonder if we'll get to see more detailed renderings?

The DP Roof section dwgs show the roof crown opening up in the middle to house the rooftop units, it will be cleverly shrouded similar to EAP. The Window Washing is where I worry as I do not recall seeing how this will be addressed.

I do hope that they do not go with the exposed platform system which will be a major eyesore but rather have it enclosed or folded away in a telescopic fashion.
Looks matter!

A good example of a fail is Jamieson Place, the architects wanted to hide the equipment in the spire but the client did not want to pay the extra money to put in a sliding door so it was forced to stay outside and the view from the side and rear was negatively affected.

This one reminds me of the libeskind design for one World Trade Center.

Herald Square site 99% cleared. Photo taken 10 min ago by me. At first it looked like they had started excavation a bit, they still may have, but I'm not certain.

Is there a webcam on the Bay Parkade or Bow Valley Square so we can watch the new construction?

If they're building the taller tower first, and it's going to have a plaza then just how tiny is it's foot print? That lot is not very big.

From the rendering it looks like they're going to put the second tower where the parkade is currently on that lot. That being said, the current lot looks more than large enough to hold the taller of the two towers.

The full tower, yes. But the full tower and a plaza?

Here on pg 25 you can see how the two phases will work.

this is what I meant - the current empty lot is enough to hold a plaza and the tower, the second tower is where the parkade currently is.
