Calgary Infill Projects

A thread dedicated to posting about infill projects throughout the city, if there's enough to talk about.

no one want's to go take pictures of some of the infill going in in neighbourhoods like Ramsay, Stanley Park, Hillhurst... that would make for a great series.

This summer I'm going to go out and do a photoshoot of the Bankview area. There are enough cool infill projects there to fill an encyclopedia

South Calgary is even better for infills. It is amazing to see the many diverse infill projects going on there. It is directly south of Bankview.

^ Nice looking project. A typical Sokol style development.

It isn't Sokol, it is Slokker, a property developer based in Holland.
I had never heard of this project, until I happened to drive by on Saturday.

It's a nice project. I'd love to more of these get built.

^ Meh, I don't mind the massing and articulation of the facade, B, but the materials palette gets a D.

Just the greens... if they'd used a beige or some other earth tone it wouldn't look that bad

Hey, this one is just down the road from my place! On 4th St NE, around 10th / 11th I think...

Renfrew is going through another infill boom. I've seen 3 or 4 houses torn down in the last couple of months.

I'm embarrassed to be asking this question considering I've lived in Calgary since 1982, but what is the neighbourhood that overlooks the elblow river/elbow park area? I mean the neighbourhood on top of the hill around 34th ave SW?

There's some sweet infills in there!
