Now Posting!

I was born and raised in Vancouver. I am currently finishing a one year program in Ottawa, but returning soon. The forum was referred to me actually by SFUVancouver who shares my enthusiasm for the built environment. I have been a viewer for a year or so, but now I am posting. If there are any buildings you want pictures of in Ottawa let me know.

Nice to see you here.

The guys in the SSP:Local Ottawa forum might definitely take you up on your offer for photos.

Hello
I guess i should introduce myself. I also lurked for a long time and finally joined. I hope to add more updates on projects from the North Eastern suburbs. There is a lot going in that is missed on these forums.

Since I posted on that other thread: Hi, I'm Alex. I enjoy our little corner of the world

Been reading for quite a while now, but only posting in the last few. More of a learner than a lurker though.

Hello,
I have just posted my first messages, but I have been reading your guys' banter for a very long time.
I work as a computer technician in Surrey, and I live in PoCo, so I take the skytrain everyday and I am waiting for the evergreen line to be built.
I am also interested in architecture and photography, so I really love checking this forum to see what is going on.
Keep up the good work, and if I find any info that is not posted, I can now contribute it, since I have a membership.

I suppose I've been lurking for a while so I'm not entirely new. I was born in Vancouver, lived in Hong Kong for half a decade as a kid, went back to Vancouver, and have since expatriated to Toronto for university/work.

I think my interest in architecture and built form was actually sparked by Toronto...I feel that as a whole Vancouverites seem to care less about its buildings and more about the surrounding nature. I still feel a strong attachment to Vancouver despite loving life in the big city as well.

Oh I guess this is sort of a gripe, but I feel that this forum feels so dead! I mean there has not been a development update on the downtown page since Dec. 19th, and its the 22nd now. Maybe I am just spoiled by the pace of updates on www.urbantoronto.ca

Hi. My name is Curtis.

Just found this place a few weeks ago and finally got around to registering. I'm pretty enthusiastic about infrastructure and engineering stuff.. Not an engineer though! Projects that I'm especially interested in include the Canada Line, Evergreen Line, ferries, and tri-cities news.

Born in MedicineHat, Alberta (home of the great Trevor Linden!), raised in Indonesia, HK, Grand Rapids (Michigan), and Vancouver. Lived in Toronto for a few years, absolutely loved living in Toronto, but I enjoy Richmond just as much now

I've been lurking around these boards a while, just finally got around to registering, and began posting. Nice to get involved

Hi folks.

Been lurking for a while. Found this place through C2E, as Edmonton is where I currently live. I have lived for significant periods in Vancouver, Edmonton and Penticton. I have lived for insignificant times many more places in BC. Been incarcerated in Etown for two years now, but hope to make it back to Vancouver to live soon.

I am here because I have an unhealthy obsession with infrastructure and development, and you folks seem to get the goods and present them in an easy to use and enjoyable fashion. I guess my dream infrastructure project would be a twinned, controlled-access Trans-Canada Highway from coast to coast. That and taller buildings for downtown Vancouver (and Edmonton, and Calgary, and Toronto, and...)
