Proposed conversion of 199-201 Union, which is the vacant former home of the Scout Shop, BikeWorks, and, uh, Giggles Cafe, to 12 residential and two commercial units in the Council minutes. Already underway: just acquiring some city owned land for egress.

It looks like some materials have been dropped off at The Steepleview. We might see this one start off in the coming weeks.

Renderings for the proposed site at Queen Square North and Charlotte are up. I don’t have time to post them but they are super impressive!

I know its subject to height restrictions. But I do wish it would reach 8-10 stories. But the remder looks great! Sunda Markets will be bumping even more!

The report says 150 units with 557 square meters of commercial space. It even keeps the blue house within the proposal. A very impressive proposal I’d say.

Now that’s having confidence in the housing market! Scale of it is quite large for the area - nonetheless I hope it passes.

Wow that's a chunky development. Denser and larger than I thought it would be.

That's not surface parking on the corner is it?

The uptown peninsula has a lot of potential, especially if we continue to see urban renewal like this. We could be on the verge of seeing great things!

36 spaces underground, 10 surface spots in the back. For a 120 unit building that is very impressive.

Will wait to see how the structure interacts with the street but the parking space-to-unit number is very promising.

If you count the entire buildout of Fundy Quay there is over 1000 residential units in various stages planned for the uptown peninsula. If only they’d actually get off the ground.

If that doesn’t justify an uptown grocery store, I don’t know what will.

Yes, working on a 46-unit mixed income on Waterloo. Just secured funding from Social Development, pending a little paperwork.

Is that your project Adam or someone else’s? Any renderings or location you can share?
