They have their construction and right of way lane closure permits, and they filed for the finish out permits for all the floors. This should start any day if it hasn't already.

There was a little work occurring on the southeast corner of the lot yesterday afternoon as I passed by. Didn't see any heavy equipment on site yet though.

They are desperately waiting for the City to release the building permit. They want to start moving dirt ASAP.

This would explain the slight delay in the start. The right of way permit for lane closures during construction had the start date changed from 12/16 to 12/26.

Crew on site this morning.

One of them nearly hit me with their pickup as I was stepping onto the temporary sidewalk. So far I’m not impressed haha.

Finally some movement today.

Sorry for the humongous photo. I'm not sure how to make the image smaller on here.

Nice photo. It's not too big by me. This has to be the last groundbreaking of 2019 - unless something happens over at 721 Congress tomorrow.

Walked by last night. That crawler is stationed at the middle of the eastern edge and is fully assembled.

Small footprint for sure. I love it! Finally getting some substantial towers that are recognizing our limited remaining dirt to go vertical. Would be nice if City Council could finally get the TIF going for south central waterfront...

Those are the caissons for the foundations. That piece of machinery in the background will probably be the one they use to drill the holes to place them in. Then they fill them with concrete.

As of yesterday there were still waiting for their building permit. It is stuck at the City.... One drawback of single member districts--what to do when you're building in a district represented by a council member who is not a fan of new housing unless it is subsidized?

Being that there's no below ground parking, it can't be long before the crane goes up for this.
