"Ruby City" came to Linda Pace in a dream. It has no literal connotations. You would know this if you were curious enough about it to dig a little deeper.

Also, things can be rude and funny at the same time

True, unless you're the victim. I'm not, so yeah, funny and rude.

LET IT GO!

From Trinity, the Frost Tower is a few floors away from being topped out. Also, the crane for the Thompson Hotel is visible as well.

Can someone please update the San Antonio diagrams page with all this new information? (And lower the height of both Marriotts to reflect their actual heights while you're at it?)

I don't know. I just searched for a list of San Antonio projects and this is the best one I found. It obviously needs some updates. Heights would also be cool.

That project was proposed YEARS ago. It's dead...

There is no current plan for a W in San Antonio.

So, I'm not sure where I should post this, but I thought everyone would enjoy seeing it. It's an application to review the Milam Building for the national historic register. It includes a lot of historical info about it - it was built in 1927, says it has a 50 foot flagpole on the roof. It also includes some photos of it being built, and it even includes the original building elevations, which is kind of amazing. These are 90+ year construction documents. It even has a photograph of the architectural model they made of it during construction.

Click the file attachment.

Anyway, I'll keep digging to see what I can find. I wish those elevations were more clear so we could read them more easily.

Here are the permits for the sign they installed atop the Weston Centre. It has a set of elevations showing the top of the building. They had two different designs they were considering.

HDRC permit for storefront restoration on the Robert E. Lee Hotel. This includes elevations of the building.

https://sanantonio.legistar.com/Legi...tions=&Search=

Application for review of roof modification for the La Quinta Inn at 303 Blum Street. They're wanting to remove the red masonard roof. This would shorten the building a bit, but only by a few feet. They also want to repaint it. This includes the elevations.

LED lighting plan for Bank of America Plaza.

Maverick Building restoration. This has elevations included.

Site plan with elevations for 711 Broadway.

Thanks for this. This is the sign they should have used - it would have looked better during the day and not only at night as is the current sign.
