Visited Regina’s second NEW Bath & Body Works at Harbour Landing during the holidays and loved the location. It was very busy too.

Only issue is now Cornwall Centre has lost another Regina exclusive retailer.

Good chance Bed Bath & Beyond closes, given that it's nearing bankruptcy.

Yep, I would expect that to be the next big one to go.

Premium Label Outlet in Victoria Square Morgue has started their close out sales. It's not really a surprise given the rough condition of that mall.

From their crackbook page: "Beginning tomorrow, January 14th, we will be offering 50% off all white sticker tags in-store, as well as deeper discounts on select products, while products last. All sales will be final. Our final day in Regina at Victoria Square Shopping Centre will be January 22nd, 2023, so hurry in!"

Another sign that our malls are dying: A&W has closed their spot in the Northgate Mall.

Wow. I remember that place going back to when it was beside Safeway. DQ and its dark brown brick walls is also stuck in my memory. Anyone remember when Taco Time was there? That being said, I don't remember the last time I was in that mall.

Speaking of Northgate, apparently Zellers is making a comeback. But like everything else these days, it won’t be coming to Regina.

This makes me disappointed and angry that Cornwall Centre didn’t solidify Zellers for the vacant HBC space. Hoping Regina will be round 2.

Also the Cornwall Centre has a new property manager (phew) so I am hoping this will help get its team back on track.

Zellers is coming back as a boutique inside existing Hudson's Bay stores so it's return is really just hype to try to get traffic. It's no loss that Regina's store isn't getting one.

Yep. Apparently people are disappointed we aren't getting a few shelves with a Zellers logo above them.

It's funny how time changes people's perception. I remember Zellers as a dirty store with crap all over the place. I didn't miss it when it disappeared.

Haha touché. Honestly, the Bay is still one of my top stops for clothing and housewares.

A 10,000sqft usage inside the current Hudson’s Bay Cornwall Centre store (currently with an empty basement) would be a good thing. If it brings renovations with it, it would be a good thing. All infill for Regina retail is a good thing, whether you like Zellers or not.

It would a part of an existing store. It won't generate any infill.

It's basically like renaming the shoe department to Zellers.

Isn’t that what I just said? Lol. Even if it became a Zellers shoe section in the store, there would hopefully be renovations which would be better than what the Cornwall Centre HB is now.

I missed this and had to go look it up.

Who else is in trouble? It's going to be bad when there are all these big empy buildings. Sears Home on Quance is huge which I suspect is why nothing but Spirit of Halloween goes in there and the rent must be high bc they didn't even go this route last year.

Apparently Party City is in trouble as well. I doubt their Canadian Tire boutiques have been enough to save them.

Canadian Tire owns Party City in Canada. Similar to how Toys ‘R Us’ Canadian operations were sold off prior to the US operation going bankrupt. The Canadian stores were still profitable so were able to stay open…I have no idea if Party City is profitable in Canada, but they haven’t been connected to US operations since Canadian Tire purchased it in 2019.

It sure seems like the corporate at HBC are looking at closing Regina's cornwall centre location permanently.

Woof. Maybe the new arena should go where Cornwall Centre is. Seriously.

It would suck, as HBC is one of the few, dwindling places in the city for decent menswear.
