that looks awesome.. but considering the fact canadinns clearly can't afford to even light up the huge Radisson signs on the sides of the building anymore I'm not holding out hope! that red paint for the awnings musta been expensive.

Ha. I was thinking the same thing.

Years ago when I sent this to Radisson, they emailed me back me telling they would look into the lights. I'm assuming Canad Inns said no to lighting them up. Not surprised as other than the Met reno, that company screams cheap.

I always wonder what other great brands of hotels this city would have if canadinns wasn't around to cannibalize the mid-market range of the industry.. sigh. although, I did go to those bars a lot in my twenties haha

Are there elevator shafts already in place? Those 3 rectangular spots on the roof maybe?

The alt looks like a CanadInns. All it needs is their logo on the building.

The Radisson is too large, too upscale for them to operate properly, just like the discussion here about their lighting.

You'll see.

Regarding the Radisson Winnipeg photo from Bryan Scott...What an improvement.. As I mentioned. It was lit up years ago and The Delta, at that time Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, also used to light up the exterior balconies years back.

The exterior of Winnipeg Square (including the base of the current tower) is so ugly. I hope that's part of the recladding.

I believe it is and within a few days ,we will learn all the details.
Should be a seamless blend.
The fact they are recladding so that one will hardly be able to distinguish the new residential tower from the existing office tower will leave a huge & indelible impact on our skyline and downtown for years to come..
