Thanks for the photo, jaga.

Question: Do the same workers assemble the scaffolds and forms for the floors and then lay the rebar and do the pours, or are there multiple crews who each specialize in those things?

The layout of the building in this building is breathtaking. Once this tower is complete, I feel others, like myself, will have a strong appreciation for many of our older building, including the newer ones made to look old. Added to that, the Arts and (hopefully) Kallison Square and Canopy, will dramatically impact our view of downtown in similar photos as the one above.

You can see from this screen grab from the web cam that they're installing the rail for the construction elevator on the right side of this pic... up to the 7th floor so far.[IMG][/IMG]

I snapped this pic yesterday as they were just getting started.

Awesome photo, Raul!

Wanna post it in the San Antonio Skyline thread?
http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=229901

That view will be even better in a few years when Frost is finished, plus JMJ on the right and Thompson on the left.
Bonus: you can't see the Grand Hyatt!

That BBVA Compass signage on top of that one building is so tacky.

I haven't seen this rendering before. It shows a lot of detail on the facade of the garage. Looks good!

(Sorry about the size.)

It's not the same garage that is to be built. It's a completely different design. For instance, for security reasons, there will not be an outdoor stairwell.

You are correct. Tacky and trashy.

Yeah, beautiful at night. But to completely undo the top two floors for it? That's a poor design indeed. They should have just added it to the top where that unfinished steel is.

The HDRC should've had a say in it. That building is almost 30 years old.

Most often, they are all different companies. A general contractor is hires one to place the forms, one to place the rebar, and one to place the concrete.

Facade should be completely different. It's suppose to have a light blue and clear tint similar to the Santa Monica Civic Center Parking Structure (I don't know how to post pictures on here, so look it up, it's really nice) minus the LED colored lights at night.

On another note, I really hope they clad the pillars with a tile or marble, because at current it looks ugly. I took some up looks pictures the other day at the site.

I drove by the construction site last night both the San Pedro Creek project and the new tower will definitely be a boon to the area.
