Did Talavera shrink? That sure doesn't look like 14 floors. . .

and oldmanshirt is right - talavera shrunk badly, maybe 6 or 7 floors. might as well be a comfort inn. (okay that was a little harsh, but still - what a bummer...) this is a better idea than what we already have, but still so far short of the exurban village we hoped for.

i think developers have to be thrilled with this faux urbanism shopping trend - they get to pack a whole lot more shops into a space and all they have to do is throw up some parking garages and plant some trees.

finally, i spent a long time studying the rendering and i think it would have been greatly enhanced by a few graphic explosions and military helicopters on the horizon (from camp bullis) and a ton of fleeing endangered warblers above the comfort inn, err, talavera hotel.
