From this view the Canopy Hotel will be visible. But I do agree, it won't be viewable from most locations. I have gone through a lot of photos.

I would love to be able to bury that portion of 35 that goes by downtown so that the two sides could be connected.

Oh and don;t forget about the RFP the City and County will be releasing for the lot at Dolorosa across from City Hall and adjacent to San Pedro Creek and the old Bexar County Jail. This will most likely have a residential, retail and hotel component.

This will most likely be a high rise development.

Haven't heard about this development. Do you have any more information for us on this San Pedro Creek development?

I'm so happy about this. I cannot wait to walk around this area when this, the new Frost tower headquarters, and another (if built) project are finished. Finally mixing the old, and replacing the very ugly and old, with the new.

A few lasting questions for the experts on here – will this building end up being tinner than Courtyard by Marriott downtown San Antonio? It seems to be looking this way. Also, will this building be as tall or taller than the Durry Plaza Hotel?

I think it will be roughly the same size as the Holiday Inn, and just to the right of it in Raul's photo above in post #122. So it will fill in that gap between Holiday Inn and Drury.

Actually, I was referring to the width of the property. I was driving past there again today, and could not help notice how thin the building might be. Possible thinner than the courtyard not far from there. But, yeah, it will be as tall as the Holiday Inn.
