This is probably the most reductive post I’ve ever seen on this forum. JFC. I didn’t know discussing socioeconomic issues in a time of rising inequality and crime were supposed to be limited to the classroom.

Just please stop.... Yeah social issues are important and relevant to construction/developers, but I can almost guarantee you that nearly zero people are here to discuss/read it in this level of detail. And we certainly aren't here to read two people argue about it and get personal. Let's just give it up and move on... my god. You both were inappropriate . But whatever, just flipping move on. Please don't respond to me, please don't tell me how it is ironic that I am posting about moving on. Just please do it, for all of us... including you two. You usually both have great input and discussion (including the high level touching on social topics), but fuck it was frustrating to catch up on reading this forum this morning.

As for Tee's, don't get too excited. I hear they are just closing it in from the elements and it will be on long term hold, possibly sold.

Anyone know the if the library was awarded to an architect? I'm curious to know if a local architect will be involved or it will go out of province again like the rRemai

Usually don't post non related construction but this was getting boring (dforsberg) and yes what about the mayor candidate Zubair Sheikh proposing an indoor amusement park to get more tourism?

Ya, discussing drug addiction and homelessness sure is boring. I don’t need the continued lecture from every, single poster on here, thanks. I’m not going to stop posting my comments. I’ve been on here for 14 years and haven’t been banned yet. If you want to engage with me, then engage. Otherwise STFU and move on.

Why bother saying anything in the first place then? I thought this was done with yesterday. And I’m the one being accused of needing the last word? How hard is it to just ignore me? Did you think your comment about this discussion being boring would actually help anything? What were you trying to accomplish?

Guys, roryn1 started a new thread that is appropriate for the discussion of drug addiction and homelessness. Let's try to keep the Construction thread focused on construction.

Agreed. And if anyone else has a problem with me, they can DM instead of the self-righteous posts calling me out.

Not a bad looking building!

I've definitely seen worse looking buildings... the ground floor looks a little brutal.

Some density by right beside a future BRT station with rapid service to Preston Crossing, U of S and downtown. Walking distance to shopping and parks. It's not up to Burnaby or Surrey standards but for Saskatoon I think it's a decent effort.

BTW welcome to the forum.

The Grove looks like a pretty significant undertaking. Not crazy about the looks - kind of a half height Baydo Towers with better balconies and a nicer penthouse floor - but not terrible either. The floor plan pages give some decent detail on the common areas, and it looks like it's probably a fairly practical development.

Definitely a big step up from Span West's other properties. Any idea as to the development time frame?

SPAN WEST
Span West owner Josh Remai has a long history with the construction and development company his father Joseph W. Remai founded in 1982. Span West’s first multi-family condominium broke ground in 1987 in Melfort, Sask., and one of Josh’s first jobs as a kid was sweeping the floors of job sites when he was only seven years old. In 2011, Josh rejoined Span West and took over leadership of the company when his father retired.

Wasn't The Grove already criticized on this thread awhile ago because of the small and depressing windows? If your project isn't called referred to as a "commie block" at least once on this thread, you aren't trying hard enough
