675'? What a bummer, if this is for real. That's roughly a 56-story tower. And we thought (were hoping for) a new tallest...one approaching 70 stories. I really hope this is not the case and that those were old plans.
Nonetheless, a new 675' tower would be nice in the skyline. Even though it is 8 feet shorter than The Austonian.
Still bugs me that OKC (845'), Mobile (745'), Atlantic City (710') and New Orleans (697') are all cities smaller than Austin (metro) yet have buildings taller than Austin's tallest. Just behind Austin's Austonian is Tulsa (667'). Omaha (633') and Des Moines (630') are not too far behind that.
I know I shouldn't whine; but, I'd really like to see a 750'-900' building in Austin...and sooner rather than later. And, I was hoping that Block 24 was going to be this building. Maybe there is still a chance?!?
