Um... really

The design is to complement 6X? Basically what they are saying is they have no creativity. Be bold and unique with a tower that size for goodness sake. I feel Austin is going way overboard with designs being way too similar just for the sake of complementing one another.

Levels 1-11 = Parking with ground floor retail
Levels 12-17 = Offices
Levels 18-19 = Apartment amenities

This gives new meaning to "corporate apartments" if BBVA is going to hang their name on a building with 40 floors of residential and only 9% office space.

I mean — that new Hanover project is a 500 footer and we were all pretty ho-hum about it.

I admit, my first thought was “that’s a solid addition to the Railyards District.”

The amount of square footage going up within the few blocks in that area is staggering. And it's all essentially going up during a single time frame. Not many cities can pull that off.

I can’t even fathom what the skyline will look like in 2022. I still remember the sentiment on this forum between 2009-2015 usually being “ill believe it when I see it.”

How many of these buildings are we certain to get? Surely at least one or two won’t come to fruition.

I like this design better than 6X's. It looks sleek as hell from these renderings, while 6X has some clunkiness to it. I feel like Austin's "400' Plateau" has come and gone at this point.

Must be something significant if not an HQ. I mean, if you’re only moving your IT staff to Austin, you grab sq ft at the Domain, or up by Techridge. If you’re doing a major thing, you brand one of the tallest towers in Austin.

If you look at their building in B’ham, it’s totally plausible. What a total clunker.

Let me get this straight. It’s taller the 600 Guad but on a quarter block as opposed to Guad’s whole block? That is staggering

Shorter... 6X is 848' I believe and this will be around 770' (but on a quarter block)

Looks like it, and wow! What a time to be alive and a skyscraper nerd in Austin TX! It was just a few short years ago that some of these same complainers about this buildings design were lamenting the "we can't break the 400 ft plateau". Hilarious! Now we're seeing 500+ footers spring up like this is Miami in 2005-2007 and we're bitter table for one over the designs. Jeepers H Crackers peeps, some of you need to catch a clue and get over yourselves. This is AWESOME!
