I guess it seems to really be moving fast for the reason being that we waited a long time from the annoucement until construction actually began. Anyway, it's great to see the progress!!!

It appears that they are working on the 8th floor.

This building is rising very fast, between the mansion and 3344 I bet we can guess who will be done first. There're moving at no less than a floor a week.

NICE!, Joe. I can't wait to see this one keep climbing. I've had a tough time figuring out exactly how the building will flow from the renderings...I don't think I will fully understand it til it's actually up.

This building is really moving up fast!

Saw a recent ad for Sovereign in a magazine and the building looks a little different than I imagined from the renderings. I never realized the façade would be all glass. Looks neat.

Indeed. It already does. I love the view you get while driving 400 S. This building will take it to another level. The view while traveling 400 S is going to be serious -- like another downtown area.

Also, when driving north on I-85 once you past the Midtown distict, the view is becoming incredible. And it's looks much larger than Midtown. With these new scrapers and the Jorge Perez scrapers, it will be awesome.

Yes, plus the ABC had even more to be added to the list for Buckhead in this week's article.

Miami Firm Plans 500 More Condos
By Lisa R. Schoolcraft

A Miami developement firm with plans to build 3,800 luxury condominium units in Buckhead is already looking at two more projects that would add at least 500 units.
The Related Group of Florida expects to begin construction of the first condo tower in the more the $2 billion CityPlace at Buckhead, on 19 acres near the intersection of Roxboro and Kingsboro roads in Buckhead, in about nine months, said Jorge M. Perez, CEO and chairman of The Related Group, who visited Atlanta Nov 7.
"We are also looking at two large jobs with over 500 each, both in Buckhead," he said. "With those projects, one straight condo and the other a hotel with condo units on top, we have more than enough to hold us in the Atlanta market."
Perez wouldn't divulge much about the pending projects, which are not yet under contract, but did say the hotel would be a new flag in Atlanta.
For now, the focus is still CityPlace at buckhead, expected to include 1,860 condo units, 28 townhouses, and 110,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
.................
..........................
The first building of Cityplace will have 250 condo units. It is a priority of theirs to get that started as well as the townhomes. They are not concerned with Atlanta's softening condo market. Construction (on Cityplace) is to begin mid to late 2007.

I'm pretty sure that's the hotel floors... then office on the taller floors, then condos on top.

Wrong building. There is no hotel in 3344.

^ I knew something didn't sound right about that!

So anyone have an explanation for the shorter floors at the bottom?

The first eight floors will be parking. There will be 19 floors of office space and 21 floors of condos.
