For some reason, I really like the giant Todd Murphy sign for Sovereign. Driving by, the area felt like Park Avenue with the wide boulevard and high rises...except for no one walking around!

atlanta gets the best skyscrapers. i don't think you will ever see a skyline with such diversity among its buildings anywhere else. this beauty just adds to the happiness i recieve while watching atlanta at night.

from the get go, i knew the form factor, or shape and height of the building was awesome, however, i thought the first renderings never really gave a good idea of what the skin and finish would look like.....silver/clear/geen glass with steel or aluminum finishes or a grey-dull non reflective glass trimmed in concrete or god forbid, stucco. im estatic that what i'm seeing so far looks awesome. i should have known....it is prime buckhead which seems to be taking off.

this building rocks, i can't wait to see it occupied.

the pic of the todd murphy banner hanging over the front entrance definitely evoke images and to some degree the spirit of nyc, lax and chicago.

I'd say both tower cranes are only 2/3's up. Add another 1/3 and you'll get the final height I feel.

Man, what a good picture. If that picture was taken only 2 years ago it would have been mostly blue sky.

No, that crane will be jacked up some more. I think the top of that crane is about 3/4 the final height.

I'm about to give up ever seeing the webcam up and running... I wonder if they just couldn't find a proper building to place it on which was far enough back and at the right angle to get it all.

What a great tower and design. You have a skyline in Buckhead that 90% of all cities would envy. The above pic shows a dramatic change in just the past year, since my visit to Atlanta. Can't wait to watch this guy rise.

This soon to be tallest thing in buckhead will add a nice point to the growing Buckhead skyline, along with mansion. This building might look cool with a spire... hmmm...

Sovereign ready to rise

Construction on the residential portion begins this week. We should see 1 floor per every 4 business days. They are on a very tight schedule so it should rise pretty fast.
