Sin Jawnz 2020 - Blizzard! And then it melted...

New year, new thread, same me, same city. I'll add to the title if anything else matters to me this year except this fucking blizzard.

Today was our first huge snowstorm of 2020. The city is almost completely shut down, though many businesses did re-open at 1:30 p.m. The university, even the post, isn't operating today.

So, of course, I had to go out in it.

This is where we're to, and where I walked:

My wife is from St. John's and has the itch to go back. I'll make sure and show her these pictures to hopefully change her mind.

UGH! That looks terrible!!

Stay safe.

Very pretty! We've had hardly any snow in NYC this Winter with none in the long range forecast. I'd love at least one snow day.

No offence, just an expression but, I just got out from a sunshine cali LA thread and I have to say, St. John is not an ideal place for human beings to live in, I mean, in winter, at least, really.

Oh, c'mon, then tell that also to the Norwegians, Swedes and Finns. I didn't know the Belgians were so soft.

Nice pictures. I love a snow day! (But I also like for it to completely melt away in a couple days.) How much snow did you get?

Looks like such an incredibly charming and cozy city. Like a much larger Newport, RI (where I once lived) had a baby with Reykjavik.

nice photos! Shows the aftermath of that snow storm. Shovels, and Tim's will get the city back to normal in no time.

I'm just waiting someone from a desert environment to chime in on how they couldn't live in harsh St. Johns.
