Tall fer sure.

Pretty amazing pics, to think that 220 Central Park S. at 950 feet would be a huge building in any American city, yet its dwarfed by CPT.

Excuse my crappy cell pics, just to share a perspective from the Bronx, I love seeing these towering kings from my neighborhood ( 432 peeking through the low rise)

Part of me would like that unit tucked right under the portion where it starts to cantilever. All the way at the bottom.

I was gonna say we are not there just yet with the Willis tower having a top floor at 1450 but that one isnt residential. Why do they keep saying Western Hemisphere? Which tower is suppose to be taller globally?

Interesting, and welcome to the forum!

Does anyone here know what percentage of CPT's floor area is residential? I saw somewhere that the condos start on around the 30th floor. So, it's possible that this building is <85% residential.

There are taller buildings that are partially residential.

It's what they do. It's considered the tallest residential tower in the world, though probably not for long, and it hardly matters. It's not even officially the tallest building in New York. But 1'550 ft sure does make you visible.

It surpassed 432 Park Ave several days ago, so, about 150 ft to go.

Thank you!
I visited New York in April last year and I was amazed by all the construction going on. I wanted to see everything go up, so I found this forum

I think if Barnett doesn't add the spire to this buiding, he should be sued by the city, and all the good people of the earth. Give us something for looking up that high. The best thing about this tower will be the facade, and we don't even get to see that at this point.
