looks great. i prefer the old top house roof color, but it does look like it belongs in the 60s.

i never realized just how tall the TOA antenna was... wow.

128 feet tall according to the tower's management.

Has anyone here used Google Earth lately? If you go to San Antonio, on the left side of your screen, select "3D Buildings". It will show whatever buildings are available from 3D warehouse that people have uploaded and been accepted. Boquillas, your Weston Centre model is on there with credit to you. Just wave your cursor over the model and it'll highlight it. Click on it and it'll pop up a little window with some info about the building, and a link to your sketchup profile.

Thanks guys! And Austin55, I would have to disagree with you. I've seen what you and Priller and all those guys over at the Sketchup board are doing, and it's pretty impressive. I don't think I'm at that level yet. I think ydoc14's got some skills, too, he just needs to, ahem post something. Tuffaso, too!

Holy cow, dude. Your "work in progress" would be my sleepless labor of 6 months (which still wouldn't look half as good as what you have). I'm in awe.

Finished the Marriott RC last night, but been too busy to post until now. I didn't do St. Joske's yet-- wanted some more detailed info on the building. By my estimate, the MRC is ~487' to the top of the spires. Certainly not the 546' they claim.

Thanks for throwing a complement my way, I appreciate it. But seriously, you and the other guys in the list above are way ahead of me in skills! ALL of your models have blown me away, the ones posted on this thread and your fantasy models posted elsewhere. I can only hope I can learn to make great looking models like yours with more practice. That Marriott RC model above is simply awesome! I have just begun to work with Sketchup and haven't even tried to do any existing buildings, only a couple of fantasy models so far. Anyway, I am truly impressed with your work and look forward to seeing more

the other Marriott--the Marriott Riverwalk. I'll admit, this one was easy- pretty much just a box. One question-- this one's own website lists it as having 30 floors, as does SSP and Emporis, but the most I can count is 27, and two of those are below street-level (they're not in the model.) Surely there aren't three floors in that little shack on the roof?

Nice!

P.S. - Don't expect the Grand Hyatt to be finished until around Christmas - unless I get some time to work on it before then.
