I don't see it either. The only thing they seem to have in common is that they are the same color...built in the same era and the tallest building in their respective cities.
Sears might be "on steroids," but USX could definitely take it in a brawl. I actually made a thread about this once and I think that it was fairly universally agreed that, while not the largest, most forumers would really not like to run into USX in a dark alleyway.

I don't see it really. I can understand where you're coming from, but you could practically say that with every black box building (ooh, alliteration). I mean I could say the Sears Tower is this on steroids and that would be just as acceptable.
