It was proposed and in leasing but never secured tenants to proceed to construction.

(But seriously though, I'd love to see that proposal come back... if Skip the Dishes does end up going in at parcel 4, maybe a building like that could become appealing to some of their key suppliers/partners?)

Yeah, its just the photo. That stuff does weird things with the camera, inside and out. When you are in there you don't really even notice that there is something on the windows.

I do like it, but I feel like if someone really wanted to develop there, they’d just try and acquire the property next door and make it easier.

That’s really cool - was it asked for on the outside because of the research going on?

^ the top two floors are actually just office space. The frit is mostly aesthetic. The idea was to create a floating white box over the tyndall stone that appeared different from the big atrium box. It is functional, because it helps significantly to reduce heat gain and glare while maintaining the openness of floor to ceiling curtain wall. You would otherwise have blinds everywhere. The quality of diffused light will be pretty awesome.

This building in Philadelphia was a bit of an inspiration for its materiality.

I gotta say, and I'd hate to be crass, but that's the kind of design that architects must touch themselves to.....

"ohhh minimalist bt PSYCH a few random surprise windows, but it still looks like a modern take of a brutalist prison"

*radisson.........radisson... radissonradissonradisson....*

I want the densisty but man I don't like that exterior would have definitely taken it though.

I have to admit...you don't not see it as I claimed, but you do get used to it. It creates a nice quality of light.

I was saying how hard it was to find an angle that hides them. The view is great from the atrium....if you like cars.

I really wish the real estate arm or Richardson would do something with those lots, with their involmemt with TNS I hope that gives them some inspiration.

Most of them are owned by the City (the big one to the south) or Nutty Club.

Very cool looking building. Hopefully inspires more development in the area specifically on the surface lots!
