I doubt it's a digital zoom, the original picture size is huge and great to look at

http://www.flickr.com/photos/raymeon...n/photostream/

Also, it was taken with 5D Mark II, so a good lens could have been used

It was shot on a 135mm Canon lens. Red ring, high quality kit ! I figured it out by looking at the exif data for the particular photo

Here's another of that same area from last week. The first phase of Bassins du Havre and the Résidence Soleil in Brossard are also visible.

Here's one I took last thursday. Looking good. I like the monolithic presence it has.

Edit: I just noticed the lighting is nearly identical to the pic above. Cool

Monolithic presence indeed, with its sibling its gonna get a lot more impressive in a couple years.

I also like how from Guy street you can peer off into the distance and see highrises like this. Makes the city look bigger.

True that. Gotta love these for a backdrop too.

Really cool pic MTL, you can see three layers of development; from the Flex on bishop, to the Griffintown (Bassins?) cranes and Evolo 2 all the way on Nuns island.

Whats the vantage point?

This was just a standard shot from the Mount Royal lookout, although I was zoomed to the max with my point-and-shoot.

Not a bad project. 7.5/10. I'll move this to the completed forum.
