I went back and read the site plan. The four-points is to have a 17,000 sq.ft footprint and be three stories tall. In fact, the tallest building will be three and a half stories (the parking garage). Oh well. It's needed retail in that area.

Work is starting on floor 21 on the Hyatt and it looks to be as tall as the Marriott Riverwalk next door which I believe is 28 floors.

Just drove by the Vistana tonight and the base for the crane is ready. I would expect to see one up by the end of the week.

I thought so too, but it's been there for almost two weeks and no progress thereafter.

WOAI reported today that over 60% of the condos at The Broadway have been sold, with the smallest units starting at $580,000.

Wow, that's pretty good!

"Sold" (i.e., the sale has closed) or "under contract." There is a huge difference! My guess is that they have 60% of their units under contract. The media tends to believe that a unit under contract is actually one which has been "sold;" and that is not the case.

Hyatt Convention Hotel Progress Photos

Hey guys... I was in town last Saturday and managed to capture the construction progress of the Grand Hyatt from multiple angles. I have posted this shots in a few other threads too. Enjoy!

Fantastic shots. And lol, I was in San Antonio today! Will post pics soon, later tomorrow I hope. It looks like they either raised one of the cranes or else shortened one. In your pics it shows them doing something with a section of tower crane. Well, today there were doing the same thing, I couldn't see exactly what they were doing. When I first got there they had a section of tower shaft either about to be added or removed to one of the cranes, and they had another piece hanging from the boom. Later when I went back out it looked like they had shortened the crane by several sections and there were sections of tower crane along Commerce Street.

They also had two pickups near there that said something about "tower crane services" or something. I wonder if they were having mechanical malfunctions or something? I'll have to check out my pics and compare them with your's, I had just assumed they were raising the crane(s), but then it seemed shorter.

Yep, anything to spark conversation. Plus, I was wondering what they were doing with the cranes. Thought maybe someone would know.
