I'd say it's green space intended for the expansion of the golf course.

It is at a high point, so perhaps it is intended for a park/greenspace area to provide some nice views of the city. I know when you are at Glendenning you can see right out over the city as far as signal hill and even Torbay.

I really think it's just excluded from the plan due to whatever the thing in the middle is, maybe federal land or something he could not obtain, the access road seems to be excluded as well

Edit: I should call in to open line about my NLSS theory hahahahaha

I find that its layout is pretty boring and uneventful, but I don't mind it.

What I really wish is that Pippy Park wasn't run by the government. That location has so much potential. That could be a gorgeous course... except its always in awful shape and its not very well maintained.

All the green you see on the picture, is infact "open space". The big UFO landing is supposed to be a "community space".

Do it!

If we never hear from you again, we'll know that you are right as you will probably mysteriously disappear for knowing too much

Eek... that's not much commercial - and seems to be limited to one massive power centre.

I agree... But there are three more small commercial spaces on the bottom of the diagram mixed in with the residential

I'd like to see a main commercial street - even if it's only something like the best-designed parts of Dartmouth Crossing - roughly in the middle of this area with residential on either side. Closest to the commercial strip would be larger buildings - condos, apartments, seniors housing, and a few affordable housing complexes mixed in. Then the cheapest/smallest of the detached properties, gradually working up to larger properties and homes on the edges.

Yeah, I was hoping for something like that as well

Oh well, plans change. This isn't the final plan. Hopefully it will change for the better before it is built

I hope so. Otherwise, for me at least, it's just a write-off. Another far-flung wasteland of car-dependent, cookie-cutter homes that no one would ever end up in unless they live there - and certainly those who do have to leave for anything, even just a loaf of bread.

Not sure if this is known, but the land cleared here by the reservoirs is for a cemetary.

Quiet neighbours at least.

Pretty inconspicuous spot! They're going to have to be more cautious once the neighbours move in around them!

(the live ones, not the dead ones!)

Da fuck? Either that changed this morning, or I messed up. That circle was NOT there when I checked Map Centre.

I humbly accept defeat.
