Ahh, the nasty little trade off..... 35 levels of exposed parking, but a faster ascension.

From Somnio at SurlyHorns.

Here it is zoomed in. If anyone spots a column, we can change the status to U/C.

Nice. That's the placement of a caisson, which means this one's officially under construction now...

And just like that, Austin has three 500 footers under construction.

It's amazing! And to think they are all so early in their construction. Will make for an exciting few years. Though I count four...Google, 5th and Brazos, 6X and 44 E Ave. !!!

^Hanover Republic Square, Google, and Indeed Tower are 500 footers and are under construction.

3rd & Brazos hasn't begun construction yet, and 44 East may or may not be under construction. I didn't count 6 X Guadalupe either because they're still digging. 3rd & Brazos is also technically not a 500 footer being that it's just 2 feet shy of it.

There's also The Travis Phase I that has already done demo and what I'm guessing is site prep, though, I'm not sure how far off construction is.

In all, we have 16 buildings over 500 feet in some kind of development. Those are just the ones we know of for sure.

Not so fast. The crane erection has been postponed until 03/06 to 03/09.

The crane should be up now according to the permit. But I'm not downtown today, so I can't verify it.
