Oh, I don't mind at all.

That does look very good... but it is bluer than it looks in real life.

I don't own Photoshop. I use Snapfish to fix lighting. Mostly just to brighten distance shots (and increase contrast, to lessen that blue haze you get).

Wow! Ryan! That second shot is out of this world. The light shining on the central part of the city! That's so cool, I kind of want to get that framed.

The part of the city that's illuminated first changes throughout the year. During the warmer months, it's on this part of the city.

Love the effect though. Darkness on either side with light in the middle... very cool.

what a perfect site to build the largest Catholic Basilica in North America (at the time) .. they knew how to make the symbol of religious dominance stand out! (the first thing God sheds light on in the morning) SO cool!!

Wow! The last picture is stunning! 351 all lit up really makes the west end look really urban and dense at night! Fortis will also add alot to the night skyline when it's completed. Now all we need is some taller infill from 351 to Fortis!

Great shot!

Today was a real treat! absolutely breathtaking sunrise photos and urban night skylines all in one day! Thanks for the effort you put into getting these unique shots! I'm sure I speak for all of us members and lurkers alike when I say we really appreciate your willingness to share your talent of photography with us! Your pictures often make my day

The photo of the sunrise with the "spotlight" effect is really special, I've never seen that even in real life in St. John's - hope you share it somewhere, like on the internet . . . somewhere !

I've photographed that so many times. I never realized it was something so rarely seen.

And thanks so much. lol Just so you know... you people really should be recognizing the telltale signs of addiction by now. You're a bunch of enablers. lol

An RDF (Rain, Drizzle and Fog) morning in St. John's. The first of many to come this spring, I'm sure.

A funny coincidence. This morning, the CBC posted a photo of a painting by Keli-Ann Pye-Beshara:

Which happens to be exactly one of the street corners I photographed (specifically, a portion of the panorama above):

I love the early morning photos, and that painting as well which looks like your photo.

Just when I thought the night shots couldn't get any better.. That first shot is fantastic! My jaw literally dropped!

Was it edited and refined or are you just that amazing with a camera??

I have to agree with Townie. That picture is stunning. The reflection of the light off the clouds and the water gives the city almost a magical look. With the clarity and depth of that photo I feel like I could almost jump through my computer screen and land in the harbour.

I would also like to thank you Signal for all the pictures you post. As someone who grew up in St. Johns but has been living in Ont for over 20 years I really appreciate being able to follow the progress of development (the good, bad and ugly) that is now occurring. I wish I had time to be more of a contributor on the forum but I always make time at least once a week to catch up on everyone's comments and Signal's great pics.

P.S. Love the steel toe boot squad. If I was living home I would definitely be part of that. Keep up the great work!
