Indeed, hopefully they'll experiment with mid-range condos downtown. However it may be a few years before downtown Red Deer is seen as viable to prospective buyers. The area has a stigma of being a bit... rough. Fortunately in the last few years the area has been almost completely cleaned up, but I think people still feel uneasy about it.
