I love the golden lighting of both of priller's shots. Someone mentioned glass starting to be put in earlier and I do finally see some in that first photo.

I was back over to the Convention Center Friday afternoon. In addition to those third floor balconies along the west side of the building, there's two other big patios on the fourth floor. One's along the west side of the building and the other one on the north. Here's a couple of daytime shots from there.

Then I went over to the Four Seasons Hotel. I'd never been inside and since they just did some renovations and redecorating and since the condo residents will have access to the hotel amenities, thought I'd post a few photos.

The pool area:

One of the bars:

Outdoor lounging area

And finally - another shot of the Four Seasons Residences from near the entrance to the Shoreline Grill at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Photos from 1/30 and 1/31.

The building should be about level with the crane once it's topped out.

To the right.

Four Seasons (right).

The last time I was in Austin was way back in 1987. What amazing growth of the skyline during the last 22 years.

Thanks for posting those from the Four Seasons. The building really has some nice views of the river that will likely never be changed.

This is the Lakeside Apartments. It was built in 1967.

Looks like it has about 5 more floors to go. Amazing that a building now needs to be 30-something floors before it starts to make an impact on the skyline. Quite a change.

is it just me or does the building look like it's leaning in?

It's not you, I think the same thing sometime. But then I line it up with other buildings and it's okay. Hopefully when it's all filled in it will look more solid and less tipsy.

Leaning?

I keep thinking the same thing. It looks like it's leaning over Ceaser Chavez.

Taken on 4/9.

Please excuse the haziness of these. The fires in North Texas were blowing smoke down to Austin.

I'm not sure what it was, but that huge structure to the left on the top of the building had been hoisted into place just a few minutes earlier. It was quite prominent while riding down South Congress. The building is just now about level with the San Jacinto Center to the left. I would say the building has another 60 feet to go, maybe 4 more floors, plus the mechanical penthouse.

From those earlier pictures it did kind of look like the tower was leaning and a little bent at the top half.
