I’m back from my huge China trip and of course I also covered all the construction going on there. So I have construction updates for buildings in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Hangzhou and Suzhou. It will take a while until I post all of them here, since I took over 13,800 photos during the trip and as you can imagine it takes a while to sort through all of them, but let’s start with Shanghai.

All Shanghai updates were taken between 16th and 21st August.

The cladding looks similar to that of Tomorrow Square. That's good. They'll be more integrated in the city.

It has been completed for like a year I think!
I might have some pics of the night time illumination of the building. It's quite spectacular borderline tacky.

This was the best I had of the building's illumination scheme. It's a bit hard to see (and looks much more pronounced at night of course) though.

The building is the one in the middle of the foreground, for those who didn't know.

^Beautiful view.
The contrast of the beasts and the tiny houses is striking.
