Long time lurker

I am living in Barcelona now and have plenty of time on my hands as the country is in quarantine until atleast April 13th.

I am working on some projects of the growth and change of Chicago. I left Chicago in 2016 and am constantly impressed when I visit by the change. Here is one of my projects.

155 W North Ave

Does anyone know what's going up at 155 W North Ave? I can't find any info about it besides a new construction permit fo with an estimated cost of $4,117,410.

Google maps (more exact Street View) 2007. You have the ability to go back and look at the same location in the past.

Nice, thanks for this. West loop/ Fulton Mkt is probably the most rapidly changing neighborhood in the city right now and in the past couple of years.

Also 311 S Racine looks GORGEOUS!! I hope they follow through with that brickwork.

Awesome. What an incredible example of how damaging dedicating public space to the free storage of personal property can be.

I love doing that. There are some places in "River North" that have seen some drastic changes too even moreso. One of my favorites is this:

Compare that to May 2014.

Sweet ride on Wells St. I recommending taking the view all the way down south until you get under the CTA trains and keep going.

That's just one of many things that make Chicago so unlike other large cities in the USA sans NYC.
