If the oculus is the oval, then yes it is lit as well. I don't really like that feature, but I love the diagonal light that runs down the front!

Lighting

I agree the light looks great. There are also these "pin" lights near the bottom that shoot up white light in a line. Those are definitely cool. They've finished repaving the sidewalks as well; it's oddly hilly right near the intersection but whatever. There's this awful aquamarine semi-circle covering a door on the north side that doesn't really fit to me though. I will get pictures soon. Other than that, I'm really loving the sharpness, angles, and lighting on this building.

Feels so much more urban right down through WPeachtree there now. Gotta do something with that parking lot by Checkers now and complete the 4th corner.

They must be done in many respects, because people are already moving in.

BTW, I think this building came together really nicely. You can tell more money was spent on aesthetic design for this building than most of the others which have gone up in Midtown in recent years.

It's the latter.

Correct....but Aqua is built to the property line. There isn't much they can do about the fact that Mac's chose to build to 4' from their line.

Aqua has even planted some sort of bushes in between.

Good point. I was assuming they would be the ones interested in improving how that looks.

They should use the same brick that is used on the liquor store and make it appear as if Macs extends to Aqua.

Driving by at night it looks like a few of the units are occupied, including one of the penthouses. Does anyone know how many units they have left for sale?

I have seen no signs...maybe someone on here can help us find out. The retail space looks really nice...I just hope they can fill it with something good now...

^I'm not sure what will go in there but I can tell you this much. A few months ago there was a "For Lease" sign in the window but it's not there anymore. I think it's just one space so maybe we'll see a nice restaurant or clothing store.

This building is 286' and 24 floors. This thread can probably be archived, however, since the building is done except for the build-out of the retail space.

I notice that the neon is now up. I never realized that was part of the plan. The diagonal is edged and so is the 3-story oval.

I'm still not as impressed as I thought it would bit, It's just such a one-sided building. You have the one nice side and the rest all seem like afterthoughts. Almost like they intend new buildings to go up right next door and behind and no one would seem those sides anyhow.

Exactly... it almost a certainty those lots will be developed and hide the rest of the building
