Luxury condo tower gets underway at $2B Legacy West project

Quote:
The latest part of a major $2 billion Legacy West mixed-use development in West Plano is getting underway after developer Fehmi Karahan selected a development team to oversee the project, a luxury condo tower.
The 30-story, 152-unit luxury condo tower includes plans for homes ranging from a 937-square-foot, one-bedroom condor to penthouses with more than 2,800 square feet of living space. The tower is designed with underground parking, an amenity floor and a sky lounge.
Quote:
Called Windrose at Legacy West, the tower will be on Headquarters Drive, next door to Liberty Mutual’s new buildings.

“They already have purchase reservations for about 25 of the 150 condos planned in the building,” Karahan said. “People have been calling about it.”
Quote:
Karahan said work should begin on the building early next year.

Buyers have snapped up half of Legacy West condo project in Plano

Quote:
Developers who are working on the first high-rise condominium project in Plano say they’ve already presold half of the planned building.
Quote:
Developers for 90-unit luxury housing projects said more than half of the condos at the Windrose Tower have been reserved with buyers.

“It is the only high-rise condominium project currently planned for Legacy West and has an exclusive location that can’t be replicated in the entire D-FW area,” developer Jim Duggan said in a statement. “In addition to local residents who have been asking for a luxury high-rise product, we saw the demand increase exponentially with the announcement of Toyota, Liberty Mutual and FedEx Office moving to the area.“

Construction is scheduled to start next year.

I would have never predicted that Plano would be getting true skyscrapers. And a nice one at that!
