EDMONTON | Stantec HQ | 251 M | 823 FT | 68 FLOORS

Sounds like the new Stantec HQ will be somewhere between 36-45 storeys... likely somewhere in between... so 150-190mish.
----

Stantec has announced the signing of a major lease for their global headquarters with Katz Group and WAM Development Group through an affiliate of the EAD Joint Venture. The new building will be situated within the Edmonton Arena District.

The new tower will consolidate Stantec’s five locations in Edmonton to one, and is a true commitment to the city’s downtown.

“This agreement represents our commitment to the community of Edmonton and the downtown redevelopment,” said Bob Gomes, president and CEO of Stantec. “Our decision is the result of an intensive selection process over the last year, and we are looking forward to moving ahead with design and construction.”

Preliminary designs are underway and further information on the project will be available at a press conference to be held at the end of August 2014.

Good golly yes. I'm already salivating for a render, a massing, a whatever.

Here's hoping for 42 at 175m.

Very exciting... hoping it will indeed be a top 50, all reports seem to say it should be.

There is a rumour that the tower might push over 200m. We will find out tomorrow...

Today should be a somewhat historic day for Edmonton re: Stantec @ 11am local.

Heard from inside 230m, 30 office, 30 condo.

However, another inside source says 52 storeys and a little over 200m.

I am going with 230m.

Either way, a new tallest is very likely and a new Global HQ to go up in the middle of the CBD.

Good lord this thing is twice the height of Bell! 62 floors and 750 ft of awesome! Although I would have liked the rendering to look more like Eight ave Place, a very sleek tower imo.

It's The Pearl of downtown.

That height is just awesome.
