Arrow FRISCO, TX | SkyHouse Frisco Station | FT | 25 FLOORS

New apartment tower will be Frisco's tallest building

Project Location

Quote:
Construction has started on a luxury apartment tower that will be the tallest building in Frisco.

Atlanta developer Novare Group bought a site from the developers of the Frisco Station project for the 25-story residential rental building along the Dallas North Tollway.

The tower will have 332 rental units and will be just north of the Dallas Cowboys' new headquarters and practice field.

It's part of Frisco Station, a $1.8 billion, 240-acre development that just opened its first phase, a seven-story office building. Construction is also underway on two hotels and a 301-unit apartment building.
Quote:
And, he said, the Frisco high-rise will be a little different from the Victory Park towers.

"We are doing some premium units at the top that are a little bit larger," he said.
Quote:
The tower will open in 2019.

Thumbs down Frisco?

Where is that? We who live here prefer the entire name, "San Francisco". Or we could just say that smaller town east of Fort Worth.

Because the namesake is from the old St. Louis-San Francisco Railway that's now part of BNSF.

I guess it's like calling Chicago "Chitown". People who live here use it as a joke mostly.

Anyway, I grew up near Frisco, TX. It's really great seeing this type of urbanity and smart, dense growth getting built in that region. I remember when all of that area was farmland... pretty crazy.

Actually, that's something only one of the website managers can do. I can't even do it as an Admin. I'll let them know.

Guys, this has been slightly renamed, so know you all can stop talking about the city name and talk about the actual project. This should not be that difficult. Any additional commentary on the city name will be deleted.

What could be Frisco’s tallest building is about to open its doors.

The 25-story SkyHouse Frisco Station is easy to spot on the west side of the Dallas North Tollway near John Hickman Parkway.

Atlanta-based developer Novare Group broke ground for the project about 18 months ago, and is rushing to finish the residential high-rise. It’s part of the $1.8 billion Frisco Station mixed-use development.

“We have the first tenants scheduled to move in this week,” said Todd Andersen, Novare Group senior vice president. “We are scrambling to get done.”
