{SA} Alon Town Centre | 320,000 Square Feet Mixed-Use

Alon Town Centre
  • The Alon Town Centre is a 320,000 square foot development in north central San Antonio.

Alon will be anchored by the HEB Alon Market, which is HEB's new high-end fresh format store concept featuring many of the characteristics of the highly regarded Central Market format. In addition to HEB, Alon will contain a collection of distinctive shops, restaurants and cafes.

There is no exit onto Lockhill-Selma, that is really stupid. But an interesting design on the Market though, I like it.

Essentially true, but most strip centers don't have office space.

Personally, I'm just happy they're finally building something inside 1604 for a change.

I don't think its going to back up to Lockhill-Selma. Alon is only going to take up that far NE corner of that triangular wedge of land. It's a big chunk of land and I think a developer was going to put in some homes on larger lots in the space behind Alon and L-S. Maybe there would be a connector then; but in the current market, who knows if that plan is still on....

Yes, the homes are still planned and under construction. They'll start at the high $200,000 low $300,000 range.

drove by there recently...november seems reasonable, at least for the heb...the build out of the rest may take a while longer.

Very nice but doesn't seem to be all that mixed use.

on that note, our condos at macyview heights have been renamed. they are now la bella vista di alta vista bella della mall.

seroiusly, though, i think we are all getting caught by every developer calling their devlopment "mixed-use". umm, ya there is a grocery store and a row of offices. that reallyisn't any better than two seperate developments that put offices next to a grocery store.

what we need to be looking for is VMU, vertical mixed use. people living among the shops and offices, not just near them (through a gated neighborhood).
