Always happy when I can make it out to SF. Fortunately I was there twice this year, twice last year, and a total of 7 times since 2014. It's my happy place (central/northern CA coast)!! Thanks for sharing these! Now I need to plan my next visit.

Awesome content. But I have to say, for a city with its size and fame and all, SF is relatively rare on this forum for a while (years), I don't know why.

Great photos! I was just there this summer myself! Such a unique city.

And dang, do I love me the Transamerica Pyramid! One of my favorite skyscrapers.

Nice job pwright1! SF has been getting a lot of bad press lately because of the homelessness... but it's still a beautiful city and totally worth visiting. Threads like this are a good reminder of that fact!

Wow! These pictures are absolutely amazing. I’ve always wanted to visit San Fran – really unique place with great culture and diversity – but these pictures make me want to pack my bags and go right now! Your photos are amazing, the colors are vibrant and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.

Absolutely beautiful shots, pwright1 - thanks for sharing!

And yay, The Sticking Rose is still going strong! I know some locals turn their noses up at it because it's 'touristy,' but for a garlic lover the food is amazing as is the service.

It's at the base of the Salesforce Tower. It takes you from there to Salesforce Park which sits above the street.

There are probably less than 10 of us (SF residents) here and all but 2 or 3 avoid all but the building threads. There continue to be a lot of conventions and the city remains the financial center of the west coast with plenty of business meetings and such (in spite of Larry Ellison abandoning us for Oracle World)--the latest expansion of the convention center just opened--so I don't know if there are people who participate here coming to town for any of those and, if so, why they don't post more pics. If you go back through the years, just about everything that can be photographed, though, has been at one time or another and maybe that's why people don't do them again.

That said, this particular thread won my heart by starting off with the Palace Hotel Garden Court. When my Mom was alive and visited, that's where I liked to take her for lunch. I may as well mention a bit of history: The Palace was where the great Italian opera tenor Enrico Caruso was staying while performing in SF at the time of the great earthquale of 1906 and supposedly it so frightened him he ran screaming into the street. The hotel did catch fire and was repaired with the new facade it has today:

PS: In one pic, the thread even contains a shot of my condo so I have to like it.
