This is good. More of these are needed as opposed to the usual office towers that rise. I'd rather this than mindless single family homes sucking up the land.

I wonder how many parking slots will be provided or if there's a parking deck included?

Howard Hughes Corp. planning more apartments in Hughes Landing

Quote:
One Lakes Edge, an eight-story, 390-unit complex located within The Woodlands’ 66-acre mixed-use development Hughes Landing, will have another multifamily project as its neighbor.

Dallas-based developer The Howard Hughes Corp. (NYSE: HHC) said through company spokeswoman Lorrie Parise that plans for One Lakes Edge Two, a proposed multifamily project, are “in the preliminary stages.” She said a groundbreaking date had not been finalized.

Alabama-based Hoar Construction disclosed it was awarded the One Lakes Edge Two project in material submitted to Houston Business Journal for the general contractors list. A spokesperson for Hoar Construction confirmed the company is working on the project but declined to comment further. The construction company worked as the general contractor on One Lakes Edge.

The Woodlands to add 8-story apartment project in Hughes Landing

Quote:
The Howard Hughes Corp. plans to add a second apartment project to Hughes Landing in The Woodlands.

The 386-unit, eight-story building on Hughes Landing Boulevard along Lake Woodlands is scheduled to open in 2020. The first project, One Lakes Edge, which is 99 percent occupied, was completed in 2015.

The project, planned for retail and a restaurant on the ground level, will have one, two and three bedroom plans. Amenities will include a resort-style pool and outdoor entertainment area, a fitness center, yoga room, fitness lawn, sky lounge and wine storage. Multiple kayaks and bikes will be available for residents.

Preston Partnership is the architect, and Hoar Construction is the construction manager.
