Boise|Revolution of Love

The City is a fact in Nature,
like a cave, a run of mackerel
or an ant-heap. But it is also a
conscious work of art, and it holds
within its communal framework
many simpler and more personal
forms of art. Mind takes form in the city;
and in turn, urban forms condition mind.

*Lewis Mumford*

very nice!

glad you're documenting downtown like this, especially with all the changes that are happening.

Beautiful photos Sawtooth! The pristiness of Boise is enviable and I also love how the city is a healthy mix of Northwest and Mountain West.

The next few years are going to be crazy with downtown development, and my camera will be busy.

More photos of the last half of 2019 are on the way.

Amazing photos there man. I was not expecting such a lively inviting downtown. And the plastered black and white street art is awesome.

Anyways those pics of the construction site downtown -- any idea what that will be?

I've heard recently that Idaho is among the fastest growing states these days, so here's to hoping for many more developments to come downtown Boise's way.

i'm not sure if those pictures are of the Cartee or Caddis residential projects:

there are currently 8 large construction projects underway downtown, and at least 3 more to come that we've heard of. I've been trying to keep track of them all in this thread, where Sawtooth has also been including his photos of other construction projects downtown:

Thanks! The construction photos are of the Home2suites Hotel near The Basque Block.

There are so many new buildings downtown under construction and nearing breaking ground that I could devote a thread entirely to them.

Boise is in a major growth phase and hundreds of new apartments and condos are being added to the downtown area including a new office tower.
