Beautiful city!! Although, I'm surprised that it doesn't have more of a building stock for a city of its size and growth. Nonetheless, it's a neat place, with a lot of older structures!!
Great photos, thank you for posting. We don't see a lot of photos of San Antonio here. I want to take a trip for about two weeks and go to El Paso, Big Bend National Park, San Antonio, and Austin. It would be fun road trip and a great way to see a part o the country that I haven't visited.
you cant do it justice in two weeks! i got a quick taste for this myself on my first visit. it came about because i dislike florida, so i would go to texas and the whole la frontera border for the warm weather trips. then i got hooked for awhile. i love the culture and if you don't mind a lot of driving i really enjoyed it!
Riverwalk during christmas time is magical. Although it hasn't really ever been the same since they switched to LED lights. I understand it's necessary to save energy and all, but they don't give off the same glow off the water and the buildings as the old incandescents did.
Do they still line the river with luminarias too? That was always nice to see growing up.
Love my home city! Downtown is still a bit short and squatty for a city of its size but a lot of it is beautiful historic old buildings that should never be replaced. There are plenty of parking lots ripe for development though when the time comes. When more builidngs like Frost Tower come along it's going to be a fantastic mix of old and new.
