I find it hard to believe that, with high gas prices and people becoming more aware of environmental issues, the Sunday night cruise still goes on. I guess I'm not a car guy, so I don't really get the whole thing. I understand the social aspect of getting together but sitting around, watching cars and inhaling exhaust doesn't interest me.

I agree with hotwired, I can appreciate the guys who put the hard work into their cars. It's the kids cruising around in Mom's Ford Tempo that piss me off.

This might be a little OT, but while we're discussing driving....

Why don't the majority of Winnipeg drivers use their signal lights? I'm honestly wondering.

i think the aboriginals that are drunk or on drugs are not out on Portage Ave on cruz night, they are in main st shelters or wandering the streets. So YES, I'm calling you racist as that was a racist comment. Hang out at U of M, U of W, RRC, etc and see all the aboriginals that are trying to educate and better themselves. They are sick of people like you painting them all with the same brush.

^ there really is no regional disparaity in terms of drivers. People drive the same everywhere.

People in (insert city name here) run red lights, don't use their signals, drive too fast, drive too slow, follow too close... etc. It's the same everywhere.

The only one that rings true is merging onto a highway/freeway. In this case, yes, your average Winnipeg driver has no clue.

Actually. The problem exists in Calgary too. People seem to be unable to accelerate and get up to speed prior to merging onto Deerfoot.

Perhaps it is just all of the former Winnipeggers that have been showing up recently and haven't been schooled yet.

Gas prices are clearly not yet high enough.
Wow...you're funny.

So, what grog shops do you frequent?

I was going to say something about pig fucking inbreds, but that post rendered anything I could say redundant. Awesome indeed.

Unfortunately, there aren't that many natives in colleges or universities... At least outside the first few weeks. Not that it's relevant.
