You must be kidding if you think they are similar. Those in Victoria are hideous!

Typical ornate buildings around Central Park, NY:

https://www.google.ca/maps/@40.78363...7i16384!8i8192

They look similar to the examples I gave in Toronto and London, except taller.

I like them, similar to the West End in Vancouver. It is solid modernism.

I was talking about the setting more than the architecture of the buildings themselves although I wouldn't say they're hideous, they're just meh. If you want hideous look at Ironworks, that thing is fugly

More Telus Ocean pics (methinks they went a bit overboard with the outdoor tables):

I love the Telus building even though it's pretty short. Will add something fresh to downtown.

I took about 5 minutes out of my day delivering invoices the other day to take a few quick photos. I'm hoping to get out more this month to do some urban photography. I thought I would share my pics even though they aren't great.

Thanks for the beautiful old town harbour photos of Victoria. Looking sexy in the summer, albeit minus the hoards of tourists milling around.

I love it too. There are many modern structures similar to it in the City of London, and I feel they go really well with the older buildings around.

This was a witty reference to Randy Newman's lyric, "short people got nobody to love."
