I was involved a bit during the design and then when I saw it and how high it was, it was quite a shock.

Just out of curiosity since you mentioned how high it is. I was just wondering if you had or could draw any rendering of the original design? Just as a visual reference as to what it looks like now vs. what you thought it was originally supposed to look like.

It looks like Fort McMurray may be getting a secondary access route to the West. The Government of Alberta is (once again) talking about connecting the north west of the province with the north east through highway 686.

I really hope this one gets put on Alberta Transportation's priority list. The East Clearwater highway proposed by the city, IMO, doesn't do much good as it would still require residents to depend on highway 63 and 881.

Still seems to be work on the OilSands production side. Was on my way up to St Paul yesterday and had 3 massive pipe rack units heading north. And the Fab yards in Edmonton are still doing work but not as high of rate.

I am heading up there next moth so will have a look around.

It’s been quiet for a bit but there is a new Medical complex started construction on the corner of Franklin and Morrison touted to be the new tallest in the city!

Be interesting to know how much out of pocket the services will be. As it is the challenge to get the specific technical staff and professionals has been an issue.

There was a challenge for surgical staffing.

Tried to get onto the SMGMC web site and it keeps punting me back to Godaddy.

A hybrid system is probably the best way forwards. Our current system cant manage the requirements and no one in the current frame work can make it work. Lay out rules for those in the private field. make it a 50 % split of public to private patients seen. or even 60 - 40 public to private or even 75 - 25 ... who knows the magic number, but we have to try something new.

I was surprised when I read about this in the paper.

I completely thought any high rise buildings would remain plans on paper, especially after the 2015 oil crash and those two proposed 20 story towers never got off the ground.
