HDR looks like vomit. I hope someone didn't get paid to take those photos. I don't see many people, even beginners doing that HDR junk too much luckily anymore. HDR was a huge fag though from like 2006-2012. I did it for about a month and everything just looked awful.

The HDR on those pictures is truly painful.

Phoenix has a host of ugly government buildings. Some of the posts here are aggressively ugly. Phoenix's worst are generally more just depressingly, drearily ugly:

Can’t be a discussion about ugly buildings in Phoenix without the castle.

The interior has the same level of taste as this Cowboy condo penthouse from Calgary:

When you see brutalist buildings, just remeber, this was once "modern" "futuristic" looking to the people that built them.

While these might not be the ugliest buildings in the world, they all stand in highly visible locations within the Lower Manhattan skyline. Considering Lower Manhattan has one of the most excellent collections of skyscrapers in the world, it blows my mind away that the architects and developers of these buildings were comfortable with adding these eyesores to one of the world's most beautiful skylines.

Holiday Inn Financial District and it's fabulous blank wall:

Note the attention to detail.

Fairfield Inn New York/Manhattan Financial District

Source

I mean seriously, what the hell?

Source

A blank wall would have honestly been better than whatever the hell they were trying to do with it.

Source

I saved the worst for last, I present to you: 5 Beekman.

Source

Let's talk about the back...

Source

Source

They actually painted the cross bracing on...phenomenal.

Source

The worst part is you can't hide from this thing. It towers over Civic Center park, the WTC Memorial, and is completely visible from the north, east, and west.

Source

Amazing.
