Have faith. 3rd time is supposed to be the charm..or 4th..or however many times it will take. I previous posts they teased the announcement of the hotel operator. I'm thinking it may be a Hilton brand as they are expanding rapidly in Canada. Unsure what hotel "brand" it will be. Covid-19 will tell I guess.
Interesting, haven't heard anything. Did the Daily Courier site next door ever sell?

The Daily Courier building at 550 Doyle Ave. in downtown Kelowna has been sold.
Terms of the deal and the name of the buyer are not being disclosed at this time.
The 30,000 square-foot building is owned by Continental Newspaper Group and was built in 1974. Current zoning of the large property allows for construction of up to 12 storeys. It was put on the market in January 2018.
Courier general manager Stephanie Goodban said the newspaper will lease back the building for a period of time as the search for a new location is underway.
The Daily Courier will continue to publish five days per week.
"The paper is not going anywhere. This will in no way, shape or form affect the operation of the newspaper. The Daily Courier will continue to publish a daily newspaper for the people of Kelowna and the Central Okanagan as we have for many years," Continental executive vice-president Steven Malkovich said, Friday.
The Penticton Herald will continue to operate at its offices at 101-186 Nanaimo Ave. W. in Penticton.
Curious if anyone has heard rumours on the old Monaco Towers development site on the corner of Doyle and St.Paul. It is now listed as sold (or was this an old link) and all previous application documents have disappeared from the city developments site. Hmm.
It was sold some time ago in foreclosure to Chinese investors from my recollection.
People curious to know the brand name of a new Kelowna highrise hotel to be built downtown will have to wait. Westcorp says an announcement scheduled for March 25 has been delayed because of the coronavirus. The company is planning to build a 33-storey tower where the old Willow Inn used to be.

Anyone want to take an educated guess as to what will happen to the Westcorp Downtown Hotel? I believe the showroom is built already or just about done, but no shovels to he ground yet for construction or sales for that matter.
